Very long day...worked from about 9:30 Wednesday morning until about 1:30 Thursday afternoon. This is the first time I've spent the whole night in the office...

For that matter, it's the first time I've actually pulled a working all-nighter. I've worked late before; one project last summer, my counterpart and I were routinely handing off at about 3:00 a.m. - when I would go to bed because I couldn't look at the document anymore, and he'd pick it up because he couldn't sleep anymore...

Were you at the office all that time or were you working at home? Hope things have calmed down. Did this project come out of nowhere? Hope you can relax this weekend and catch up on your sleep.

Yeah, that was all night in the office...first time I've ever done that. It's kind of cool, in a weird sort of way...being there at a time when most people wouldn't dream of it...

And it sort of came out of nowhere...I got a call at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, asking if I could help out "in the evening" on Wednesday, because the tech writer who was handling the document couldn't stay late. Nobody doing the asking ever even dreamed that it would be an all-nighter.
