Happy Monday, everybody!
Good morning, and welcome to the week! See my response to a comment on a post a couple days ago for a catch-up on what I did this weekend (which was mostly nothing).
I must comment that it seems like one has to drive forever to get anywhere, in this silly town. One set of shops is about five miles north, and the other about ten miles south...and in between appears to be wasteland, as near as I can tell.
Actually, that's not quite true: in between are vast spreading acres of apartment and townhouse complexes, tucked in behind their gates, with their elegant gold-on-green signs tastefully nestled in artfully arranged foliage out front. Although I did get far enough out Atlantic Boulevard yesterday to find houses that were just out on streets like normal houses. There were also some out around where we went to dinner on Thursday.
Sigh...and there was traffic. On Sunday afternoon there was traffic - ugly, slow, takes-three-cycles-to-get-through-the-green-light traffic. And a very crowded Wal-mart. I might go there again - in the middle of the night. Never, never again on Sunday afternoon, unless I'm truly desperate for something only they have.
So that's about it for the moment; type to y'all later.
