Relatively quiet here today. I helped someone with a search this morning; she was most effusive in her thanks. A good way to wind up the week. My boss has left for the day; the chemo is making her very tired, not unexpectedly, of course. The weather icon says -4 degrees.

I'm looking forward to hibernating at home this weekend. I really want to finish The Time Traveler's Wife, which I've been reading for ages (518 pages long). I rented Pearl Harbor from Netflix; we saw it in the theater, but wouldn't mind watching it again. We'll probably go get some dinner at Zebb's tonight and maybe fold in the grocery shopping, too, which I normally do on Sunday.

What do you think of Pete Rose finally admitting he bet on baseball? I think it was very tacky of him and his publisher to have the book come out the same week the 2004 Hall of Fame inductees were announced. Paul Molitor and Dennis Eckersley shouldn't have to be answering questions about Rose -- they should be just enjoying their own successes.
